I created this knife to follow the more traditional look of the original Tanto's though it is only influenced by the traditional and to it I add my own style. The blade is made from 1/4 inch thick 1095 carbon steel and differentially heat treated using the clay to produce a nice hamon temper line and the spine is fully file worked. It has a full tang handle with Koa wood scales from the Big Island of Hawaii. The scales are overlayed with black stingray skin and overwrapped with black cord, the cord is then set with epoxy for greater wear. A dragon menuki is wrapped under the cord on each side. A black leather sheath comes with the blade.
