Blue Bowie

The Blue Bowie is a classic western pattern from simpler, harder time. The beautiful random twisted Damascus was pattern welded by Jim Ferguson and made from high contrasting 1095 steel and nickel. I further refinded the pattern by forging the blade to shape then etched the steel with ferric chloride. Next the blade was blue powder coated and sanded to bring out and contrast the intrinsic pattern. The handle is made from dyed elk antler with an reconstituted colorado agate spacers. The guard and pommel are 416 stainless steel. This knife comes with a tooled black leather sheath with a python skin inlay.
