Tomahawk

What I wanted to create in this tomahawk was a heavy duty tool that would take care of not only my chopping needs in bushcraft settings but something that could be used as a hammer for driving tent stakes and the like. The ability of making an improvised handle from on hand wood in the field in the event of a handle breakage is also great advantage over a hatchet. I've crafted the handle for this tomahawk from Cocobolo which is beautiful and strong hardwood but any standard tomahawk handle will also fit the head. The hawk weighs in just at 2.2 pound including the haft on my scale.

Tear Drop Skinner

This knife fits and feels like an extension of your own hand. The short blade with a full belly is great for skinning and its size makes it light and easy to carry. The 1/8" thick 1095 blade is differentially heat treated which gives a hard edge (~60 Rc) for great edge retention and a softer back so the blade will not break. A red satin finish gives the blade an old look and reduces the maintenance of the carbon steel. The Tear Drop Skinner comes with a tooled brown leather sheath. The listed price includes free shipping to anywhere in the United States.

Rustic Disturbance

The Rustic Disturbance is made from 3/16" thick 1095 and is a full tang contruction for maximum strenght. The blade is differentially heat treated so the cutting edge is hardened to approx. 60Rc with it's spine at about 50Rc. The blad finish is Red Satin for a non-reflective finish that also makes carbon steel easier to maintain. The handle of this Disturbance is made of Rosewood and as seen in the photo is very nice looking as well as very hard for good durability. The Disturbance comes with a tooled brown leather sheath.

Skinner Tomahawk

When I designed the Skinner Tomahawk I was thinking of a tool that could be used while backpack hunting for elk. I wanted something that could serve as a skinner as well a hatchet and this is why the blade is ulu shaped. I made one like that in the picture (but not the same one) for myself and it worked out very well and I was successful in taking both an elk and nice buck. Even though it wasn't used for skinning (sure it would've work well) it really excelled in breaking through bone and taking the rack off the skull.

Gale Force

The Gale Force Tactical knife is a sturdy hard working rough and tumble knife that looks great. The red stain finish on its 1095 carbon blade keeps it from reflecting and giving away your location while on duty at the same time providing a measure of protection from rust. This is a carbon steel bladed knife with a differential heat treatment so its edge if very hard ~61Rc and the spine or back of the blade is much softer at about 50Rc. The Gale Force takes a great edge and keeps it and because it is carbon steel is reasonably easy to re-sharpen.

Coyote

The Coyote knife is a hard working hunting and go anywhere knife that also looks great. The red stain finish on its 1/8" thick 1095 carbon blade keeps it from reflecting and giving away your location while on hunting and at the same time providing a measure of protection from rust. This is a carbon steel bladed knife with a differential heat treatment so its edge if very hard ~61Rc and the spine or back of the blade is much softer at about 50Rc. The Coyote takes a great edge and keeps it and because it is carbon steel is reasonably easy to re-sharpen.

Appalachian Hunter

The Appalachian Hunter features a clipped point blade design that makes all manner of hunting and camping chores easy. The 1/8" thick 1095 High Carbon Tool steel is differentially heat treated and holds an outstanding edge. The blade is finished with a browning, like an old black power rifle, giving this knife an old well maintained look. The finish also inhibits any further rusting of the blade but if rusting does occur it is easily blended back in with a little steel wool and oil. The handle is the forked section of deer horn with rosewood spacer.
